Last weekend I booked for mid-July. The cheapest room category was sold out, so I had to book a more expensive water view room. Then I saw on the universal website a few days later that the cheapest room category was available again, so I called and made the change.
The
AAA discounted rooms are already gone for my dates except if I wanted a King Suite room. You have to call and ask - the AAA discount doesn't show on the universal website.
The annual passholder discounts are not in place yet for July.
The Stay More Save More rates are only in through June.
In case you haven't figured it out yet, to check availability
go to

Click on BOOK HOTELS at the top of the screen
Find the hotel you want and click on BOOK NOW
Type in your dates and click on SEARCH
Click on VIEW ALL ROOMS
Find the room category you want, and click on RATE INFO
It will show you how much for each night and how much for tax.
Note that weekends are more expensive than weekdays.
Underneath where it says SHOW ROOMS WITH ALL BED TYPES (and there is a pull-down menu for bed types):
If there is no discount, it says SEASONAL RATE.
Annual Passholder Discount:
Type APH in the discount code box when you put in your dates.
If it is available, instead of saying SEASONAL RATE, it will say ANNUAL PASSHOLDER SPECIAL.
