When to book? Timing of codes?

I have been lurking on this board for a while and want to book a trip for Dec. 2006. I want to get the best rate I can because we just did a Disney Cruise and stayed at AKL this past summer and the DH say to go as economical as I can for this trip. I don't have a huge preference in resorts and am even leaning to POP. I'll go ahead and book my flights as soon as they become available but when should I book my package? I want hopper plus tickets and dining. I do have AAA but it seems like some people booking through them are having to deal with a lot to get new codes applied. Is waiting until a code comes out in late summer to late (I think the Dec. 2005 code came out late Sept)? Does Disney always have codes that come out about 90 days out? I'm new to the code game and paid an arm and both legs for the last trip. A little guidance or assurance that waiting is ok would be great! Thanks!

I have a very similar question....we're starting to plan for a Nov 2006 trip. I'm wondering if it is beneficial to wait for any discounts before I starting booking.
