Hello,

I am new here. My name is Chrissy and I have never been to WDW:( . We are planning on going next year in Sept. for :bounce: 13 days. I guess the resorts get filled up quite quickly so my question is when can I book my room and how much do you have to put down.

I am kinda undecided:rolleyes: on which resort to stay at. I would love to stay at CBR because of all the activities with biking etc. and I am guessing it would be bigger then the All Stars. Which would be my second choice because of the price. So if anybody has any suggestions on which resort would be better for a family of 5 , please let me know:confused: .

Thanks in advance
Chrissy awaiting my trip to the world in 542 days LOL:p

Welcome to the DIS. This is a great place to begin planning. You should also check out www.mousesavers.com a great place to learn about saving money at WDW, and Deb Wills site www.wdwig.com There is a tremendous amount of info there on all the WDW resorts, pictures, and even reader comments.

Unless one of the family is 3 or younger, your choices will be limited to POR in the Alligator Bayou and costlier rooms in the deluxes with a daybed. There are also some expensive suites at the deluxe hotels. Two other options are the cabins in FW or renting points from a DVC member to stay at a DVC property.

You are right, the All Stars are smaller than the moderates.

If your kids are all over 3 and you need larger accommodations, you would love the Fort Wilderness cabins--especially since you mentioned bike riding and other activities!

My rule is always to book as soon as I have my dates and then I can rebook if new codes come out.

Have fun planning!
