In your experience how far out do you book your hotels to get the best price? I've read 6-7 months before you want to go is the best time to get the deals. I've also read price will go up if you book in 2020 for 2020 vs if you book in 2019 for 2020.
We are looking to go the end on September 2020 and want to stay in a family suite at Art of Animation or All Star Music (2nd choice)

Thanks in advance

I'd book the room you want asap, then you've at least got the desired dates. Then you can keep an eye on deals
that might become available. If there is a great deal on room rates available at the time you want to visit you can try to snag it. If you succeed you cancel your original reservation.

The Family Suites are almost always excluded from promos. So they are unlikely to get cheaper in the future. I agree with @Micca.

Since the family suites probably won't drop in price we decided to get 2 connecting rooms at Movie All Stars, and hope the price drops a little. It turned out to be a little cheaper and we don't have to worry about the main pools being closed. Plus it's all been renovated.
Thanks for everyone's help
