when to book for 2010

when should i book rooms for our 6th august 2010 family reunion. we will need between 12 and 15 rooms. i would like to stay in csr and i would like everyone to be in the one building. tia

I think (someone correct me if I'm wrong) you can book 499 days out.

All,
We were at the world from Dec 6th through the 14th at the Contemporary. Since we had the in-room computer I contacted our travel agent to get information about booking a February 2010 trip. Her response was that we could not book room only reservations until the 330 day mark, and then vacation packages sometime after that.

Disney's on-line booking system is only accepting reservations through 12/31/2009. If someone is able to make reservations in advance of 330 days, please let me know how.

You can book only your room 499 days out. We are already booked for Feb 2010, you just call the number and do it that way.

The plan was to go for my sons spring break (usually end of march beginning of april). That was until a few hours ago when my brother informed me that he will be getting married in May this year and it's a destination wedding to puerto rico (sp?) or Hawaii. I'm still going to WDW though gosh darn it....even if I have to eat pb & j the whole time we are there

If you want the S/D (Starwood) - it is only 12 months out or maybe the year you need.
We need 3/27/10 for 2 weeks - and was told to try this year mid-April 2009 - and if they cannot enter the dates into the system, they said to try December 2009.
They also said discounts like AAA may not be available till December 2009 or January 2010.

I think WDW resorts come out with their packages/discounts in the summer or fall for the following year.
So for 2010 - maybe summer 2009 or fall 2009 for packages & discounts.

But since you are booking a large amount of rooms (12-15) - maybe a whole floor or wing - WDW may accomodate you like they would conventions.
I would call them and ask. Also ask about the discount & cancellation policy if you reserve 12-15 rooms.
