We are traveling Saturday March 31 to Saturday April 7th. When do you suggest booking flights? We are going on a girls trip with my daughters fairy godmother and my fairy goddaughter and it will be their 1st Disney trip (ages 5 & 8) I want to try to keep it budget friendly since we aren't able to drive.

Also, any extra tips on flight info I should know?

Thanks in advance!

I definitely am not an expert at timing the purchase of flights, but here's the small bit of experience I have based on my upcoming trip 4/2-4/10/18.

We are flying JFK NY to Orlando. I booked tickets the moment they became available on JetBlue on 7/25/17. Since that time no prices have gone down, and several more desirable times (morning flights going out, evening flights returning), have gone up in price. The evening return flights actually jumped from $148 to $383!!!

Based on JetBlue pricing (and the timing of school breaks) you are going at an even more peak time than I am.

If you can stomach today's prices, I would jump on them immediately. I really don't anticipate them going down much for literally one of the most peak time weeks of the year.

Again, this is only my 2 cents, so if there are more experienced flyers out there please chime in.

I echo the previous poster - but soon! And make sure to check southwest - their prices around Easter last year ended up going down once the dates got closer and they allow you to lower the price and get a credit.

ETA - my family already has tickets for April Break 2018..we live on MA so break is the week of April 16..

We bought our tickets for our 2018 trip over spring break (Starting March 31st) from Southwest the moment they released about a month ago. I wasn't thrilled with the price we got until I saw it climb over the hours and days afterwards. You could try to wait it out but it may only get worse.

Whenever you are comfortable with the price. There's no magic time to book. It's like trying to predict lottery numbers. But considering it's a high-demand travel time prices won't be cheap.

Buy now! You are also going over Easter. I traveled to mco over Easter for a conference this year. After booking right when flights were released for SW I only saw the prices increase. Look at the policy for the airline regarding rebooking if the flight drops. Southwest is pretty good with refunding unless you buy the wanna get away fares. Those will only get you a credit that you need to use within a year.

That's not just spring break, that is Easter week. I would have booked them already. If you play too much of a waiting game, you might run into problems.

This question may be better asked on the Transportation Forum rather than here in Theme Parks Attractions and Strategy
We buy the moment they are release and then watch them climb

Most airlines have had their schedules out for some time. It's a holiday weekend. I'd start looking - now.

If you can utilize the credits, then SWA is an option to look for price drops.

Not sure what airport you originate from, but might want to check the uber discount carriers (spirit, frontier, allegiant) to try and make it work...even if you have to drive a bit to another airport.

Another option is connecting flights or moving your dates. If you could leave on the Tuesday or Wednesday prior, likely will see lower fares.

Good luck
