Hi everyone! We're planning a Halloween trip next fall. Our hope is to do 2 days at a Deluxe (thinking GF, Poly, Contemporary, or YC/BC) before our HotHS cruise, then 2 days after the cruise (staying at the same level hotel - maybe?). Our only park time would be MNSSHP and/or an After Hours event if it happens. Right now I'm wondering when to book based on not knowing when/if MNSSHP will happen and when/if discounted rates will be available.
If there's no MNSSHP and there are no discounted rates available, we'd stay at Shades of Green.
If there's party but no discounts, we'd probably go with a cheaper hotel (Wilderness Lodge, Fort Wilderness, Coronado Springs or Port Orleans).
If there's a discount but no party, we'd go for fewer days before the cruise.
So with all that in mind, when and where would you book? Do I book our back up hotel (Shades of Green) or one of the Deluxes with hopes of applying a discount later? Or a moderate with hopes that I can upgrade later?
And the biggest mystery: Is there any reason to stay at the same hotel before and after the cruise?
