When to arrive to Fantasmic! viewing area?

I've made lunch reservations for RBT and plan to ask for the package for the first show for their Fantasmic! viewing area when we go in a couple of weeks. How soon can or should we show up to get into the viewing area? From what I understand, we will receive vouchers at lunch time to get into the viewing area (correct me if I'm wrong). We don't have to be THE first people there, but I'd like to arrive decently early.

TIA!

Following! (We are doing the BB package.) As a note, I've heard people say "a full hour" to "30 minutes." I'm planning for 30 because I really don't want to park us there for an hour!

You may be so tired at that time that you might want to park for an hour :)

We arrived there 1 hour prior and got the spot we wanted, right in the middle. We used Hungry Bear package. I did see people arriving all the way to 20 minutes and they all got a seat, towards the back.

I was thinking an hour before showtime, but only because that's generally when we start pooping out- after 12 hours of park time, lol.

The ticket you receive will tell you when to first line up. We got there a half hour before and there were people already in line. All dining packages line up at the same spot. Then, shortly after the time printed on your ticket, the cast members start separating out by restaurant before leading people to their spots.

The cast members often don’t acknowledge people lining up at all until 8:00-8:10. Having done RBT twice in the last 2 months, I recommend arriving at least 45 min prior (8:10-8:15 pm) if you want to choose a “front-row” seat along the rail for the first show. The later you arrive, the fewer options you’ll have.

We generally put our kids on the rail and then sit directly behind them, where we can see past the rail. Keep in mind that you can sit and then send a runner for snacks to help pass the time.

We've sat at the rail once and I found the view not as great as the rail blocked our line of sight. Granted, my wife and I are on the shorter side.

Subsequent trips, we've sat around the middle which worked out because I feel like we get a better view, plus it gives us flexibility to show up a little later.

Just some food for thought for the OP.

This has been my experience too. I really dislike sitting by the railing. I prefer the middle or even the back. Only bummer is if someone really tall sits in front of you (or people who insist on wearing tall hats and ears during the show 😩).

Perfect, thank you so much for the info!

I am so excited to finally get to see Fantasmic and I was also wondering when to get there. I find it so rude when people hold their phones up! I’m very nervous about missing the show due to people holding their phones above their heads and blocking our views. I didn’t want to sit at the rail because I was worried about not seeing up there.
I guess we might get there really early to sit at the rail after all.

My sisters and I did the HB package and arrived 30 mins before showtime. Our dedicated area was full so they ushered us down to the Blue Bayou reserved seating, front and center. :)
