When to arrive at Universal???

So the TRUE opening time for US seems to be a mystery. We are going to IOA to see WWoHP on August 6. We will be staying offsite. I keep reading reports of people getting there and finding the park already open. So anyone with recent experience, can you tell me what time we should arrive in the morning at US??? Thanks!
