We are leaving soon for our next WDW vacation (less than 3 weeks! 
) and we were planning on driving down, as we’ve done quite a few times (10 drives so far!) but I wasn’t really feeling it (the drive, not the vacation 
) so I kept checking for flights, eventhough I knew there was very little chance of finding anything reasonable so close to our departure. Last Friday, to my utter surprise, when I put my dates on the Southwest site, I found a really great deal! 
So we are now flying, adding 2 days to our vacation (getting there on March 3rd instead of the 4th and leaving on the evening of the 10th instead of very early morning) and I’m just extatic about this!
We need to drive 3.5 hours to get to the airport but that’s a far cry from the 2 days we need when we drive down all the way!
So when things go your way you find flights for 1125$ for 6 people, a rental suv for 250$ for the week and your rental house is available for a day-early check-in!
