We will be at WDW June 25-30. Dh doesn't do fl summer heat so it's just me----bringing my dd 15 and her bestie (15) and ds 12 (jury is still out on if he's bringing a friend). I was originally looking forward to staying at our Home, CSR, but after thinking about being with teens/preteens all day and it just being me, I thought I might want to have some extra space and maybe a balcony. Our choices are AKL, Poly and Beach Club (all standard view)-----I've pretty much dumped AKL since the bus rides are the longest (time is precious while we're there lol) and the rooms aren't much bigger than csr from what I've read. So it's btw Poly and BC. The girls will go off on their own here and there as dd is a savvy WDW visitor and knows her way around--not concerned about her riding the monorail or buses/boats so long as she's with her friend. I'm stymied bc I love the poly's closeness to MK and would love to sit on the beach and watch wishes, but I think the kids would all love the Beach Club pool and I've never tried the character breakfast at BC but heard it's great. (We aren't doing 'ohana for dinner tho breakfast is a possibility--we'll be on the meal plan).......I'll be happy wherever we book but would like to book tonight.
Ultimately, we'll have 6 days of hoppers which will include a water park day. We'll sleep in some days and put in some pool time before heading to the parks on those days. Looking at 3 visits to mk (minimum), one morning at epcot, one animal kingdom morning, a dtd pm, and studios for 2-3 visits. So if wer're spending the majority time at any parks it's mk and studios (one night is really just for star wars party)
Anyone with teens or preteens care to chime in with their suggestions? (if we end up with 5 we'll have to go for bc or poly---I know riverside is a choice but we've stayed there and it was fine but I didn't love it)
