When should we ride Nav'i river?

So we were lucky and got FP to FOP. We leave Feb 2 for 8 nights. Our AK day is Friday our last park day and I believe our FP is like around 3pm. Should we do Nav'i at RD or is it possible we could ride it later in the day with a lower wait? I'd hate to wait longer than 30 minutes with my kids. They are young. But I'd rather like to avoid the rush to Pandora at RD as well. Which would be the better option? Obviously its impossible to know exactly the wait times for the day were going but if anyone has been recently could give some insight. If waits are crazy all day then I guess we'd do the RD Hustle over there.

You're going to have to RD if you want less than 30 mins. Or take a chance there will be a FP for it after you use your first 3 - RD will be the best option for the shortest wait.

Hmm ok thats what I was thinking. I just wanted to avoid the herded cattle thing. I think I read though the two rides branch off in different directions so most people go towards FOP?

There are two separate lines but you have to go past NRJ to get to FOP. Most people will be going to FOP though. I was there for RD on Dec 23 (not intentionally, as I was wanting to ride Kilimanjaro Safaris before my breakfast at Tusker House) and it wasn't as crazy as the pictures and videos suggest.

RD navi for sure. You wont have to run for it but be there for RD and you can plan to walk to navi, you'll be fine. I rode it in Nov 3 times in a row at RD with no wait.

we got in line a few minutes before the park closed. I think the posted wait time was around 40 minutes, but it only took about 13 minutes to get on.

Ok awesome!!! Ideally we'd love to rid FOP twice and do that at RD then go to Nav'i but I dont want to push our luck haha. I guess I could see how many people are ahead and where we are when going in and decide then. But for not i'll plan to do Nav'i at RD

To be honest, I would not waste any time lining up for Navi River ride. Use that time to line up for FOP.

I think many people will agree with me. It's not worth more than 30 min of a wait.
just my opinion but saving you the time in line

I didn't ride FOP (due to motion sickness) but I thoroughly enjoyed NRJ. I think it's worth a 30-ish minute wait, especially if you've never been on it before. I may be biased though since I couldn't ride FOP. :)

This is what I vote for. Or skip Nav'i. Or swing by on your way out of the park, whenever that is, you don't have to stay up late and wait until closing, and see what the line is like then. I think it is a real yawn. FOP, on the other hand, is a wonderful experience. Worth doing twice if you can.

About 25 min. before closing time, the posted wait was 45 min. We got on in about 10. Then we got in line again, and there was no line. It was a walk on (posted wait time 30 min.) And yes, we loved BOTH Pandora rides.

Also, set aside some time to explore the Valley of Mo'ara, both during the day and at night. Impressive and beautiful, with lots of photo ops.

Agreed if OP is ok with the mad rush I’d ride FOP once if you are one of the first people on and then go ride Navi.
