When should school crossing guards leave their posts?

Is it a money issue? Perhaps he has to pay her the full 1/2hour if she stays till 8:15?

It doesn't appear to be. She is paid for 1/2 hr. Trouble is she gets there at 7:40 instead of 7:45am, which would allow her to stay until 8:15. This is done with her supervisor's permission apparently.

So I'm beginning to see the problem lies with the supervisor. Our conversation yesterday was upsetting. He told me it would be a "waste of time" for her to stay beyond 8:10am and that he "didn't see a reason to change" so he would "leave it as is". That made me pretty !!

We'll see how today goes.

The morning after my last post the guard informed me that "her shift ends at 8am". So this has continued to be a problem. This morning she drove away at 8:06am after she crossed us. I've written two letters to the superintendent and CC'd a the principal, chief of police, town mgr and selectmen. The principal agrees she should stay until 8:15am and called the transportation supervisor last week but as we've seen this morning that apparently didn't change things.
