When should I go??

Hi Im just wondering I can leave anywhere from the middle of feb. thru may when is the best week to spend in Florida(lowest crowds , nice weather, and moderate prices??) Please help Im taking my first trip with my family Twins 3 years , DD 6 yrs., and DD 4 yrs. Whew this should be fun!!

Do you mean this year? Wow, that is soon.

The room rates are the lowest until Feb 15th. Any stay that begins on the 15th or sooner will get the lower 'value season' rate for the entire stay.

That said, there may be a discount code in the early spring. No one knows for sure, but they do sometimes put out a code for May. See the resort board for more info on that.

You will need two rooms if you stay onsite in a WDW resort (I just realized I was assuming you would, some people don't- I always do) or possibly a cabin at WL would work. Value season rooms at value resorts are $79 a night plus tax so really not too bad.

You have a lot to decide. Tickets, where to stay, and does the dining plan make sense for your family if you stay onsite. A good place to find info (besides here) is www.allearsnet.com and www.mousesavers.com

The best book, I think, is The Unofficial Guide to WDW. Make sure to get the newest edition as there have been a lot of changes. I think 2006 is out or will be soon.

As far as crowds go, anytime school is in and there are no holidays is a good bet, so Feb and early May would be my picks. Avoid Spring Break at all costs.

When you go make sure it is not when there is a 3 day weekend, such as Presidents day or memorial day because it will be super crowded. People really take advantage of that extra day.
Also from March 1 to the middle of April is spring break time and WDW will max out a lot.
The last 2 weeks of February the weather is generally nice, today we are 70 and sunny and the crowds are small.
May is a good month, but it is around 80 each day and isnt too crowded, but east coast schools get our towards the end of May so from then until the middle of frbruary it will be crowded and VERY HOT!!!!
We live by WDW and go there all the time, so i know what I am talking about.
One if my sons works at WDwWand this month is their breather month to prepare for the crowds that will start next month.
No matter when you decide to come, NEVER to to Magic Kingdom on a saturday unless you like to wait two hours in line for one attraction.
Also use the fast pass system for the most popular rides and it will save you lots of waiting in lines. For instance when you enter MK get a pass for splash mountain, then while waiting for your time to come you can do a few things that dont line up, such as country bears, liberty bell, tom sawyers island etc.. As soon as you use your fast pass, get another one for another busy attraction and to the same thing all day. I fyou arrive at opening you'll be amazed how much you can get done before lines form, then use the passes as the day progresses. With kids I'm sur eyou dont want to stand in long line sif you dont have to.

Here are a few weeks that I would avoid. Presidents Week and Mardi Gras week in February. The week before and the week after Easter. Possibly the last week in May. A lot of schools end that week and many people try to beat the crowds in June.

I think that the las week in April or the first week in May is great. Low crowds and it is just starting to get hot. Hot enough to swim and do waterparks, but not unbearable heat and humidity. Good Luck!
