Hi everyone

Me and DF and his family are vacationing at SSR at the end of Sept 08 - mid Oct 08.

We would like to be able to visit the WP and speak to someone from disney weddings during our stay.

I know most of you have said it would be a good idea to book a site visit in advance so my next question is:

how far in advance should i book this? :confused3

Do i have to wait for the 180 day mark like with the ADR's or could i call them tomorrow? Or is it something i would have to do nearer the time, like a couple of months in advance?

If anyone knows i'd appreciate your advice.

Thanks

Nicola

No need to wait 180 days to book a site visit. It is a completely different things then dining reservations. I can't remember how far in advance I booked ours but I knew we would be down there Thanksgiving week of 2007 and I had been working with Heidi at DFTW so I just told her when we would be down and we worked it out between us.

I would suggest trying to make plans toward the beginning of your trip. This way if anything happens and you need to reschedule it you still have time to do so. We did it in the middle of the week - that way we could check out some places before we met her and then go back to them after we met with her to check them out again. If it is a private place and you can't get in without an escort of course you cannot go in before or after but we are planning on our ceremony in Italy, or reception in ADH and then a desert party in UK-Lower. We went to Epcot before our meeting and checked out Italy and took some pictures, we went to ADH one night and we watched IllumiNations from UK-Lower after discussing this with her. It gave us a better feeling of what it would be like to have our party there.

Happy Planning
Linda

Hi Linda,

thank you for that info.

my 18 month mark to be pencilled in wont be until Nov 08 so will they still be able to give me a site visit even though i wont have a planner or anything until i get back from hols? :confused3

Being pencilled in doesn't mean anything. You won't get a planner till you are under a year.

I'd just phone up Disney and see what they say about booking a site visit.
