When people don't GET disney

Hey guys.
So I am going to Disney in 19 days and an ok friend of mine that I don't really get along with all the time asked me, "when r u going on vacation to Disney world?" I said "20 days." Then she's like are you excited even though you've been seven times? Heck yeah I'm excited!!! That just bothers me. She's never been to Disney world and has experienced the magic and the feeling before. Anyone else ever had this happen to you?

Yes and even worse those questions about "why do you stay on property it cost way more money?"
Or "You're going again when there are so many other places you could go?"

To me it's kind of like say having a pet. Some people like certain pets and some prefer none. And others for various reasons have never had one. So what you decide you want/like for you, they don't get.

Honestly if that person went to Disney, they might not like it.
You go and you enjoy and who cares what other people think. There are plenty of people here that understand your excitement.

OMG "you're going again? Why are you going again when there are other places for vacations?" are the questions I get ALL THE TIME. I totally understand where that comes from.

Some people who have never been don't understand the magic, so they don't understand the draw we have to go back. And then there are those who go with the mindset stubbornly thinking that they won't like it, so they don't. Don't worry about them, though. We know how magical it is.

OMGoodness I know there are SO many people that don't GET Disney it's like they don't understand the process of planning a trip like you actually have to make reservations you can't just go somewhere and be like I'm hungry give me a table I think that's why there are people don't like Disney because they don't know what to do or what to expect when my teachers or friends are like I'm going to Disney I'm thinking in my head I CAN HELP YOU LET ME PLAN YOUR TRIP!!!!

We are 50'and never went anywhere else. Even now kids are grown me and dh go. My mother says why do you keep going back. I don't care we love it

The worst is when they say "Disney is for little kids... when I went I only liked Tower of Terror and Rock N Roller Coaster because everything else was kiddie rides"

OR EVEN WORSE "Universal is my favorite Disney park"

And then there's the ever classic "Why would you go so many times? Isn't once enough?"

People always ask me "don't you get bored of it?" I've been to WDW 22 times and I will never get bored of it. The people that say that are usually the ones that have never been there or only once. When you grow up in a Disney family it's totally different

I get this a lot too. My friend is going this spring and at first, she was really disappointed that her family was making her go to Disney. She kept asking, "What's so great about Disney World?" and "There are no big rides, so what am I going to do?" and "Isn't it for little kids?" I don't know about everyone else, but for me, it's really hard to describe what makes Disney so special, because it's kind of everything put together. The food, the rides, the overall atmosphere... I guess it's one of those things that you have to experience to really understand how magical of a place it is. I'm really excited for you - I wish I was going so soon!! Have a great trip!!

My friend doesn't understand what Disney is for me. Disney is life, literally my entire childhood surrounded around Disney movies.
