My mind always go's blank and I send them the wrong way or give them very vague answer.

A few examples this week, I was walking to pick my dd from school and a American standing outside a hotel asks me if there anywhere to get any lunch, so I say "yes if you go straight down there." did not tell him how far he had to walk or advice him to cross the road at the lights as there is a busy junction on the side he was on further down.

The next day I was walking my dd to school and a man gets out of his car and me do I know where an Airport car park is, I do and he is only a few minutes away so I give him directions and when I walk away I realise I have sent him the wrong way! hopefully he saw one of the buses and followed it.

Later in the day I was at university and a new student asked me where a room was, I think about it and reply "I don't know, some where in that building there" I actually had three lectures in this room last year! I did not realise until she had gone, duh!

i know what you mean....i always turn into a blathering idiot when asked for directions

Yep happens to me to! I always realise just as they have driven off that I have sent them in totally the wrong direction!

I do the same thing as well  I was stopped in the car park and asked if there was a tesco or asda here, no i said . any major supermarkets?? erm no not here nearest ones are in rhyl was my reply. then they asked what about an iceland, oh yes its down the road turn left you can't miss it its next to Somerfield....boy did i feel stupid!!! :lmao:

I always find that these are the precise moments that I forget which way is left and which way is right ;) :rotfl2:

Last time I was stopped and asked for directions ~ I got the woman to follow me in her car. It was easier than trying to explain the directions, took her right to the place :rotfl:

Me too, and I feel such a fool afterwards :)

I'm the same.. I end up mumbling something about not being local and then making a swift exit
