When park hours change- is it handled like EMH?

For our trip in two weeks the AK hours changed from 9am-6pm to 8am-6:30pm for Sunday, December 6th. What attractions/characters will be open from 8a-9a?

What time does Rafikis Planet Watch open?

Generally ride start stays the same unless they add a new EHM that morning. The attractions section of the website will help you locate the operating hours of every ride on any particular day. I can't speak for rafiki's planet itself just a borning general look it up answer.

I can't speak to the Rafiki part, but the other parts of the park will open like normal. So if an attraction is open at park opening, then it will open early with the new hours.

Same with pm hours changes. If the park stays open later, the whole park stays open later. The exception is anything with specific hours.

Whatever is normally open at park opening will open with the earlier time. If it's something that has a set start time, like World Showcase, then that usually opens at the same time as always. I don't know what the hours are for Rafiki's.

EDIT: According to Touring Plans, it looks like Rafiki's doesn't open until 9:30am, so that's when it will open, no matter what time the rest of the park opens.

Probably, we have never done the M&G at AK. Here's a link to AK's schedule on the Disney site. This is for a specific day, but you get the idea. If you go to Disney's site, hover over Parks & Tickets, click on more hours in the right column in the drop down menu that appears, select your date at the top, and then select the park, it should give you the opening hours and individual attraction/show hours for things that are not open from park opening to close. I just realized that the link isn't showing Rafiki's for that date but other dates do. Weird.
