When lurkers stop lurking

I was a lurker before posting. I was a little hesitant to post because other sites got rather heated sometimes. I find this board to be more respectful and friendly than others. I needed to find this out first before posting! I never judge anyone, just like to read the posts.

I've been pretty much a lurker for years...I post when I have something to contribute but do feel a little weird about breaking into the "circle". I have learned so much from you all, though, and have a great time visiting everyday even if I don't always have a lot to say.

I lurked for about a year. This is the only discussion board I have ever been on (besides the dibb - the only reason I went on that board was because a former DIS member was slandering us- but that is a different thread! ). I love this board and all of you wonderful people! I think the first time I ever posted was on the resort board, I gradually worked my way to the Debate board and then found my way here, my FAVORITE board!

Wow Beth, you have been a member long than me with less posts, I don't see that very often! I lurk all the time. Rarely post. But I totally love these boards. Sometimes at night I will post on a thread like I am part of the group cause I feel like I really know a lot of the frequent posters and then I think to myself the next day, "so-and-so is going to think I am a freak or something, they don't know who the heck Lulubelle is and I am talking to them like we have been friends for years!". But, I think it is probably silly on my part because so many people on these boards are truly nice, caring people Just because my name is not out there very often doesn't make my posts less worthy.

I was a lurker for a very long time. I am now out and all I do is hang out on the DIS. I am no longer a lurker. So there!

I was a lurker for a long time also. I would spend time on the trip planning forums.
I did not post much there because I have never been to Disney World. Hopefully I will have alot to add since we are planning our first trip in August.

I am now trying to find a place on the Community board.

When I first started posting on a resort board, I thought I would just ask a few questions and that would be the end of it. But, I started lurking around and like many others, have followed both sad and happy stories - mostly from a distance. I would like to add some of my own, but I would have to do that as an alter-ego since my id is not very secretive. (one never knows who else is lurking out there!)
