When kids fly free promos start?

We're wanting to plan a vacation to DL for March or April 09. Do you know when the airlines come out with the spring time kids fly free promos? We're eager to start planning!

I would be suprised if they do that this year. They have made so many cut backs and price increases on things like luggage.. i don't think they will be letting anyone fly free.

But i'll cross my fingers for you!

I agree with the PP - I really don't see Fly Free promos anytime soon. Not with the cost of fuel, cutting the number of flights per day out of certain cities and dumping routes from other non-profitable cities, as well.

I wouldn't be surprised if the next thing we see is making it official that it is mandatory to purchase seats for children under 2.

The other thing about the "kids fly free" deals is that usually, they really don't. That is, they charge you for a full price ticket rather than a super saver deal you could get, if you booked separately. We did "kids fly free" last March through a package deal, and we discovered that DH and my tickets cost about $700 each. If we had booked Alaska's "hot deals" flights, we could have bought all 4 tickets for $800, instead of 2 tickets for $1400.

I'd price it out separately before booking a package. However, there is the promotion going on for "Everyone plays for kids' price" tickets, which will be running during your trip.

You're in Phoenix with Southwest nonstops to Orlando. I would get their DING software download and use that. It will give you extra web deals.

You still have a year to go. Who knows what the airlines will do by then. Right now you can get flights from PHX to Orlando on SWA for around $200 per person each way in November/December.
