When is your school's winter break?

I'm in Clearwater Fl and my kids winter break is Dec23-Jan-6

Our break isn't one of the choices. It's Dec.20th-Jan 8th.

Oh wow that sounds awesome! Our's is just the short on 23-2.

My kids last day is the 19th, and their first day back is the 6th. So I just picked the option that fits closest.

We're actually leaving after school on the 13th and coming home on the 23rd. I wanted to miss the crazy crowds for as much of the trip as we can. They will each miss 4 days. The only big things they will miss will be that my youngest will miss his Christmas concert. He'll be ok with that when we surprise him with Disney. They only miss 4 actual days of school and I've yet to see a year they did any work or tests those last four days. It's always parties, movies, crafts etc. So if we have to miss school this is the time to do it.

I'm in college, so we get out around the 11th or 12th - which is why we chose to leave on the 12th for Disney.

I was thinking most schools got out for break around the same time so i'm really hoping that the times on the poll are accurate for most schools and we won't have huge crowds until around the 21st

They have a 1/2 day on Fri Dec 20th and return to school on Thurs Jan 2nd. So I guess 12/23 through 1/01. (There was no "Other")

we are from Ma also kids get out on the 20th and have to go back the 2nd I was hoping for the 6th but it seems like a lot of them are doing the 2nd I thnk they are afraid of snow days!!

We home school, so whenever the Christmas planning takes over the school work we stop school. We start back up when I feel like it. I usually like a solid two weeks off during that time period - if not a few days more.

Here in northern Virginia, we're off from 12/20-1/2. It seems a lot of school are on this schedule.

That is pretty much the way it is around here (although they have school on 12/20). One of the great things about homeschooling is getting to take trips at less busy times, but we don't take advantage of it enough. That is one of the reasons we are taking this trip. Just in case our oldest (13) decides to go to high school next year, we want to get in a non-busy Disney vacation.

Ours isn't a choice, 12/23-1/7. They go back 1/8. We are planning our trip for 1/1-1/7.

This is what ours is too. I am surprised because last year it wasn't a full 2 weeks.
