When Is Your Fall Break????

We are planning to go in October. October by the sounds of it is getting quite popular. Does anyone know when their fall break is? We are trying to go at a quiet time. The first time we went was a month and a half after 9/11 and I think that spoiled us. It wasn't busy at all. The only thing was we went the last week of Oct. and the highest temp was 68 and it was quite breezy and overcast and we froze at the pool and blizzard beach.

We will be there the 22-28th due to our DD's Fall break. I think it will vary depending on the school. I'm like you...our first FAMILY trip there was three weeks after 9/11 and it certainly spoiled us too! We have continued to go this time of year, and though the crowds have picked up, its never been bad enough to keep us out. We never have a problem doing everything we want to do, and I HATE large crowds. I know that even though our Fall Break is the end of the month, there are other schools who have it the first week of the month. Almost everytime we;ve been in any part of October, its still very hot(though not as humid) and we have a great time weather wise...up until last year, I htink we only had about one day of rain for all our October trips combined...I do think Hurricane season has been a little stronger lately, though. It's a must for us to see the F&W Fest, so October it is for us!

Our fall break is the first week of October (the 7th-14th). Hope that helps. We are thinking about a trip for our break as well...

Wow! This is a good post! As far as I know (fellow Canadians can correct me), there is no fall break, at least here in Ontario. Good to know!

No "fall break" in most of the Missouri/Illinois area, either. Most schools do give 2.5 days for Thanksgiving.

My fall break is near the end of October (I am in college though). My sister has her teachers' convention the week after. We just joined the Disney Vacation Club, and my dad has made reservations for that week since he would like to go to the golf tournament. My recent trips have all been over either winter or spring break, so going at this time will be nice.

We have a two week fall break (technically year round school schedule) from October 9th-October 21st. We'll be at WDW and a cruise the whole two weeks.

No fall break here...although students do get 1 day off in October for the Maryland State Teachers' Convention.

No fall break in MA and RI.... just Columbus Day off but we'll be in Disney 9/29-10/4

yeah, right. never heard of it until I started reading a couple other boards. No Columbus or Veteran's Day in Iowa off either. Spring Break is one week in March, our district is the 3rd full week, March 20-24 this year.

It's a nice idea but would never fly around here.

northen Ca. We don't get a fall break in our district but we do get the whole week of Thanksgiving off. The week before Thanksgiving is conference week and all days are half days. This is our favorite time to pull the kids out. We miss a couple of half days and then get the whole Thanksgiving week off

In Utah most students are off Oct. 12 & 13, so lots of families take vacations that week.

It is great in Alabama b/c we 'trade' a week of summer break for it. Summer here is unbearably hot and awfully humid. It's not he**, but we can see it from here That week of wonderful fall weather to travel sure beats one more week in August when it is over a 100 degrees and close to 100 percent humidity
