When is VDH expected to open?

We are starting to plan our summer 2023 family vacation (no rest for the wicked...we just got back from summer 2022 trip!) and we are thinking about ending "National Parks of the West" with a stop at Disneyland. Do we know yet when VDH is expected to open for booking? We would rather stay at VGC, but we're open to VDH if needed. We would prefer not doing a cash stay somewhere. Thanks!

Ok, thanks. We're targeting the end of August for our trip so it sounds like we're going to be at the mercy of VGC.

Not the best use of points but you can stay cash side at grand cal or Disneyland hotel on points with no fee.

I hope by our Spring 2023 trip there will be enough info/rumors out there that we might be able to snag some free pins and stuff for the new tower and get the conversation going with our guide about the adventure

If trying to book for August 2023, I'd be waking up early in the AM in a few months and trying to ninja a VGC room at the 7 month window.

I'm a newer member and just got my login working in early July but for fun I "stalk" VGC all of the time as those points cost a bunch (I'm silly and I love VGC so I purchased a good # resale) but I'll more than happy try and ninja some rooms over the years with the points that are way less expensive. I haven't looked in a few days but usually when I would login at 8:30 EST I would see the rooms all gone..... But I just looked and to my surprise there are rooms available from a few days ago that I can book using my non VGC contracts. It looks like it is not as much of a madhouse at the more expensive seasons. For the less expensive early Feb. rooms it was a madhouse and the rooms were always taken first thing in the am. It's good to know that they are a bit easier to get as the seasons go up

August is a more expensive season so you might have better luck.

I’m currently have a reservation for a two bedroom at VCG for three nights at end of August, and it wasn’t bad to get. The point chart was rough though!

Bad point chart is the only thing I’m hoping will save us. That’s how we managed to snag a 1BD for spring break this year.

Once you get above studios, the point charts are rough at VGC. I hope that VDH is not like that but RR kind of tells me it will be. Plus there will only be like 20 2 bedrooms out of 350 villas
