I was hoping it will be open for August..Anyone know? Thanks!

I made an ADR for my August vacation yesterday at TI and the CM didn't say anything...

It was only opened in its current state as a temporary restaurant. What plans the company that took it over has, I have yet to see posted.

Still no exact dates, only this:

Tutto Italia Ristorante will close in the spring of 2008 to be completely remodeled, and will reopen in fall 2008 under yet another new name.

So "Spring of 2008" means :confused3

I wish they would announce way ahead of time so people won't have to scramble to change reservations! ;)

seems strange they would close just as the parks are hitting peak season, unless its going to be a pretty quick refurb?

Yeah, I had seen this on allears & wasn't sure if I should make an ADR for August.

Tutto Italia, which means "Everything Italy," will be the interim name of the restaurant replacing L'Originale Alfredo di Roma Ristorante at the Italy Pavilion at Epcot. As we previously reported, Alfredo's will close on August 31. Tutto Italia, under the management of the Patina Restaurant Group, should open on September 1. In Spring 2008, the restaurant will close and undergo a complete refurbishment. It will reopen in the fall with a new, yet-to-be-determined name.

When we made our ADRs for July/August 2008, DW asked specifically about this and the Disney Dining Reservation CM said that it wasn't closing.. So, either they changed their plans or moved the time frame.. Either way they are saying it will be open for our trip time frame. :yay: :woohoo:

That definitely doesn't sound like they are closing in Spring 2008! :goodvibes

I've been wondering when they will close too, I'm still kicking myself for not eating there in 2007 after they just opened, and hope to take my family to Tutto Italia this year in the fall. My 180s will be coming up in a few weeks and I've been watching for news if they will close.

They did give a long notice for Nine Dragons remodeling, I would hope they would do the same for the Italian restaurant too.

I know some people had reservations for Japan restaurants last year when the remodeling took longer than they had planned, and had to get re-booked elsewhere, were they were happy with the re-arrangements they got?

I would have a back up plan because the CMs will not know and act like it isn't going to happen until it's anounced by Disney.

I agree. Many times there was information "out" and the CM's had no idea. I would call, request and they would say "no, it is this or that." Then I would say no, could you please check. After a long time on hold, they would come back and say "oh, you are right, it is this way, etc." Happened more than once, so I would have a backup ressie.

now gets a "facelift"?

We had never eaten at the original restaurant. Just could not seem to get ressies when we wanted.

Sept. 07' we read the menu on the soft opening and saw some very hefty prices-even for lunch.

Yes, I read some nice reviews at allears, I just could not justify the expense for even a lunch! :scared1:

We'll be visiting 3/2-3/9 and looking in the windows and wondering!

We just made reservations for the end of May so I really hope it isn't closing before then. I have been wanting to try it and we managed to work it into our plans. I guess I'll keep my fingers crossed!

Hmmm..now I'm nervous about our July 31st ADR there...oh no!

I made a ADR a few days ago for the second week in April. (I would consider that spring--right?)

I have an ADR for May 8th. That's well into spring. I'll be ticked if I made an ADR at a restaurant that's closed.:worried:
