Why does spring start mid-way through March and end mid-way through June?
Where I'm from, the seasons change 1st March, 1st June, 1st September, 1st December...
Lucky you! Where I'm from we have only two seasons, winter and July.

Madrid, Spain has been described as 9 months of winter and 3 months of Hell. Your comment is even more clever.Lucky you! Where I'm from we have only two seasons, winter and July.

This is disappointing! There was a thread on here a couple of months back where people were saying soft opening in December or January... I had my hopes up.

I think that is a great question. There are a lot of definitions Spring used around the world. In temperate regions in North America weather and climate are different than other areas around the world. For example in the tropics - the four seasons lose some of their meaning. Wikipedia has a great summary. For me - Spring is whenever everything begins to bloom and the temperatures start to warm up. I like using the concept that Winter begins on the Autumnal Equinox (in the Northern Hemisphere), and the Winter Solstice is Mid-Winter. And summer begins with the Spring Equinox and June 21 is Mid-Summer Night. If you use this system - spring doesn't really have a clear time. So, using that definition - Disney can open the Mine train whenever they want and still be ok. They don't like to be pinned down - and they are not in a hurry.![]()

When I lived in Minnesota, I was told there were two season - winter and road repair. Although my sister always claimed it was winter and July 7.
BTW, this coaster has been in construction now for almost 2.5 years. Really?
