DH, I and the kids are planning our first cruise for June 2005. Price-wise, when is the best time to book? We are currently looking at a category 5 or 6 with a verandah.
The sooner the better. DCL has a pricing scheme in which the price rises in certain categories as X number of rooms are booked. Since they have only two ships, they really don't have capacity problems and it's very rare that the price will go down as the sailing date nears. My advice would be once you nail down your sailing date and itinerary, go ahead and book. DCL rarely has "sales," so it's likely that the best price you'll get is the current price.
