When is spring break for 2007?

My son's H.S. is always the week after easter. They only get MLK's birthday and President's day off in between.

As far as I know Spring Break varies by school. It can be anywhere from March-April.

I know it varies greatly. Some regions of the country have a spring break sometime in late February or March, and a week off either before or after easter.

I think we get the shaft living here!

Ours is always the same, the week before Easter, and Easter Monday.

I keep hoping they will change it to a time of the year when no one else has off so we can go to WDW without waiting in long lines or extreme heat.

We'll NEVER go during spring break again! It is so crowded that you can't really enjoy yourself. The weather is beautiful and the parks stay open late but to us, it's just not worth it.

In CT, ours is the week of April 16th, which is the Regular Season at WDW.

In 2005, we went to WDW during the week of NY's Spring Break and the parks weren't too bad in the a.m. but got crowded in the p.m.

So then when do you go, in the summer?

I have found with my oldest now in middle school, taking him out of school for vacation is just not even an option. The thought of him missing even one day gives me nightmares. Its just amazing how much they have to keep up with from one day to the next.

Good thing I was able to get a few "pull 'em out of school" trips when they were younger, because I don't see going on vacation again when it isn't Easter or Summer for another 10 years or so.

DD's Spring Break is the last week of March but then the school is doing something completely stupid and bizarre. She goes back to school on Mon, April 2, has Tues April 3 off, goes back for Wed and Thurs and then has Fri off for Good Friday! WTH!! I can bet there will be a lot of kids gone during that second week, you can imagine not much will get done.

Our county public schools will have April 13 as a day off for students (staff planning day), and Spring Break is April 16-20.

Our sons are both in college this year, and they both have March 12-16 off.

We can pull them out of school for 3 days, but no longer than that. They get too far behind otherwise. So we combine the three days with a weekend and we have something that suits us all. I don't like extended vacations, not even at WDW.

Spring break in Maine is April 16-20. This year our school district has a teacher workshop day on the 13th, the Friday before school vacation. So, we are heading out on vacation late Thursday afternoon, the 12th. Gotta get in all the extra time we can!

We're trying to schedule our next trip to the world and want to avoid spring break at all cost!

Pretty much all of the public schools on the front range seem to have the last week of March off this year. Usually there are about 2 or 3 different weeks depending on the school district. I am not liking everyone being off at the same time. Now, I won't get to take a vacation with the kids because other people got their time off requests in first.

Our school (in NH) has the 23-27th of April off. The High School band will be marching in Disney so guess where I'll be. My son plays the trumpet. Whoo-hoo!

DW is going with the high school choirs end of March. Since there is an extra bed in the room I figured I would go too.
