There is no date for Splash Mountain's closing at Disneyland yet.

That said, I would be shocked if it is still open in August. Speculation is that it will close not long after Toon Town re-opens, which would be some time in March, perhaps April at the latest. (Especially since they are aiming for it to re-open in 2024.)

I just read an article that said they will likely not announce a closure date until they know when Indy will re-open. The theory is they do not want two Lightning Lane rides nearby each other to be down at the same time. Local news station here in Phoenix just posted a story saying it was closed as of today.

Per the DL app, it shows the ride as having a 40 minute wait time right now but also has a note on the ride saying that it is down and will re-open in late 2024.

This article is referring to Splash Mountain in Florida. The OP is asking about when Splash Mountain will close in California, to which a closing date has not yet been announced.

I'm guessing maybe by March or April that Splash Mountain will close. I do agree that they may wait until Indiana Jones is back up again before doing so.

The Florida version is not opening until LATE 2024. I do not think the Disneyland version will close until the end of the year 2023. Why? Disneyland's version opens after WDW. I suspect Disneyland's version will open early 2025 during the first quarter.

Sure would be nice to have that ride all summer rather than closing it right as summer begins.
