When is payment due with a code?

Hi all,

I'm sure this question has been asked before, but my computer freezes when I try to search!

I'm keeping my eye out for deals in January, and haven't booked anything yet - I will likely book room only for now and wait and see what happens later. I understand that if a good package comes along and I book that, payment is due 45 days before arrival. HOwever, if I snag a room-only discount instead, when is full payment due - 45 days in advance, or upon checkin - or check-out?

Whenever we go to Disney I usually book room only. When making the reservation you have to pay them a one night stay as deposit and we pay the balance when checking in
