Does anyone know when they are going to vote on the jobs bill? I am very curious as I've calculated the payroll tax cut would save me about $1250 a year...that's enough for a Disney trip!

What info did you use to get your figure???

Well I read the SS tax would be 6.2% of paycheck in 2012, but if this passes it will be 3.1% of paycheck.

For 2011, payroll taxes are 4.2, not 6.2. So it would go from 4.2 to 3.1 if the jobs bill passes. But of course if the bill passes you will probably not have a job because Mr. Job Killer (aka Obama) will have his way and the country will go further into economic recession and more people will have to rely on government (which is his plan).

I understand that but it's going back up to 6.2% in 2012.

If they cut it to 3.1% in 2012, I'll save about $1250 or so ($800 from extending the existing tax cut + an extra 1.1%).

Back to the original question, does anyone know when it's going up for vote? I can't find that anywhere. I'm trying to make plans for the upcoming year.

:thumbsup2 Amen.

There is no bill and there won't be one. If you really look into what is "wanted" in this non-existent bill, you won't want it. It will raise EVERYONE's taxes because there's no other way to pay for all the "freebies", that is those that actually pay taxes, otherwise known as the 50% who support the other 50%.

It was all a big PR stunt which was so obvious.

Not even the Democrats are willing to vote for this in the Senate. No one is going to bring it to the floor.

Screw the good of this country, I wanna go to Disney World! Woot Woot. ;)
