When is Jersey week this year?

Do a lot of people just have their kids miss Monday the 10th since Veteran's Day is Tuesday the 11th, thereby making the parks more crowded the 6th through the 11th?

I heard my daughters' school will be closed 11/6 through 11/11 for the Teachers Convention and Veterans day. This is the perfect time to go if you're from NJ! We were just there in May so maybe I'll take advantage of this next year.

I had no idea that everyone referred to this as "Jersey Week" though!

I believe there are quiet a few schools taking advantage of the Teacher's Convention / Vetren's Day combo this year.

For those concerned with Park Attendance being drastically increased during "Jersey Week" you really have nothing to fear. While attendance might be increase slightly over the normal slow season it is still much much less than any peak time. My husband and I happened to honeymoon during "Jersey Week" last year and the waits weren't bad at all. The didn't even have FastPass open for most attractions.

That being said you have the added attraction that you are among friends.

That's so cool...didn't know about that. I'll have to look for that next year! I homeschool my kids so I didn't even think of the Veteran's Day/ Teachers convention . Thanks!

Our chools are closed on the 4th (election day) then the 6th through 11th.

Some school districts, like ours, don't get off for Veterans Day but many do. But, the Sate Teachers Conference is the 6th and 7th.
