Ok, I am planning a trip for my boyfriend, my best friend, her husband and their 1 1/2 year old for Jan./Feb. 2008 and I want to make sure we get the hotel we want etc.

I know the 2008 rates aren't up on the official site yet but can I call and start to get prices, reservations etc.? I know I'm being silly but I am a planner and really want to make sure it goes smoothly.

THANKS :goodvibes

We start planning our next trip as we are leaving the Disney grounds to head home from the current trip. :rotfl2: Seriously though we are planning a trip thanksgiving week, unless free dining is offered, and we started doing the first stages of planning last month. Basically, calling the folks that said they wanted to come on our next trip, decide which hotel we will stay at, arrival date, when to book etc. We get the newest trip video watch it until we can answer the quiz questions at the end before they are asked and start looking for the best prices. I guess the main reason we start planning is because it is fun. So the answer to your question is it is never too early.

Nope - not being silly at all! I'm a big planner, hence our May 2009 trip! For us, that'll be the best time to take our twins and a good time of year to go. Plus, my parents are going with, so they've already got about 3-4 vacations planned in the next 18 months or so. Which means we have to plan in advance too.

Although we know where we're staying, I'm still trying to learn all the ins and outs of planning too. Figure out which parks to go to, which tickets to buy, what are the good deals, what are the things not to miss, etc... So I don't think it's ever too early!

:cheer2: Never to early to plan any trip to see Mickey & Friends.:cheer2:

:yay: We are planning our Christmas 2008 . :yay:

:goofy: Can't wait to see Goofy again :goofy:
:jumping1:

It's never too early to start planning. But don't stress out about it. January/February is generally a slower time of the year, so you shouldn't have any problems getting the resort you want.

I started planning our next trip the day arrived on this last trip!! We are also going early February 08.

I planned our trip for early April in January - it's something I won't ever do again. :)

Next trip will be at least 8 months out.

I plan our trip as soon as we get home from the last!! I am a planner and the OCD takes over when it comes to our Disney trips!! I love the planning and anticipation of the trip!!
Good luck and have a blast!!

You guys are making me feel so much better!! As soon as I get my work travel plans for next year set (should be soon) I am going to officially pick a week and take it from there. I can not wait. I really didn't think I'd be back again so soon (went in 2005) but we all decided we want to save up for this!

And I was reading about the magic moments etc. and sitting here with tears running down my face. I'm such a freak!!

it is never too early to start planning!!! I'm with the others... i like to start planning my next trip while i'm still at WDW!! I'll tour the hotels and see which one i want to stay at for my next trip!
Planning is the best part!
Have Fun!!

We are in the beginning planning stages of our Jan. Feb. trip for next year:thumbsup2 I believe the rates will be out in Aug. It is fun determining what week will be going, where to eat, what to see, what park what day, oh I can go on!!:woohoo:
