We went the last week of October and first week of November and it was hot-and perfect for swimming.

Which month(s) are too cold for swimming?

Thanks :sunny:

I have swam and visited the waterparks in December and March. Thought it was great.

Some folks from the hotter climatesmind find it cold but the pools are heated and growing up in Nova Scotia, I am used to the Atlantic. Swimming in 10d egree water in August makes Florida in December seem like a bath.

It all depends on the weather you're having. We were at Fort Wilderness in Feb 2004, and we only had a few days where it wasn't ok to swim. And this year in the end of Jan, beginning of Feb, it was too cool and windy when we were at the CBR for the girls to swim. But I'm over protective that way, and my girls get earaches very easily. But everything is heated down there, so it's just cold when you get out. Have fun!

The water is heated so never too cold!

We swam every day when we we're there in January 2004. Blizzard beach was lovely - we practically had it all to ourselves. It was in the high 70's the day we were there. I remember someone laughing and saying we must be Canadians

Like someone said upthread, it depends what you are used to.

Too cold....what are you talking about.

When we were there in Jan. 2000(the coldest in a long time) the life guards had winter coats on and my kids were in the pool :rotfl2:

The life guard wanted to know if we were from Canada. ;)

You guys from the maritimes have me laughing because I was just thinking about the same thing today. I have been worried we will not be able to go swimming when we are there in December but then I thought swimming in December at Disney can't be colder than the Atlantic in July.I think I even managed May one year when I was younger. Then I felt ok. ;)

Thanks everyone.

I wanted to ask my fellow Canadians because I know people from the southern states will answer completely different :sunny:

We have never found it to cold to swim at WDW or even do the waterparks. We go early Dec and the pools are great after a long day at the parks.

We were there in Nov 04, and it was in the low twentys during the day, and then in the teens at night. But to be honest, the water in the pools at WDW is like super heated, so when the air is cooler, the pool seems that much warmer. The worst part was getting out of the pool. I was usually swimming later in the evening too. I froze going from the pool to the room. But the water was great, it felt so good after a day on your feet in the parks.

We went last Jan. and swam every day! I always say if the pond ain't frozen... we're going swimming!!!! ;) We did have a robe for ds when he came out to wrap him in.

The last time I was there in December, it was about 10-12 degrees at night and there were people in the pools. The pools are definitely heated beause I could see the steam coming off the water. I had a cold so I couldn't go but there were people swimming :) I would think that the worst part about swimming in the winter would be getting out of the pool and going back to your room.

Never. We are Canadians! :cold:

Most times we are swimming it's plus 20 C and the lifeguards at the Disney pools have their North Face winter shells on! :rotfl:

:cool1: Hi there!
Just have to jump in on this one.Being from Nova Scotia,we've always enjoyed swimming any time of year in Central Florida,March,November,January, you name it,it's great.
Just got back a week ago,and really loved the new sand castle water slide at Old Key West.I'm almost 40,and it was my first time on a water slide. What fun!
Can't wait for next time! :paw: :Pinkbounc :wave2:

We are going Feb 11-18/06 and I am wondering what to wear during the day. I don't want to over pack. Jeans, shorts or capris? T-shirt or sweater? Or both? Help!!!!!

Never too cold in Florida, especially with the heated pools at WDW.

The only time it may be too cold is when the kids are playing shinny on it :rotfl2:
