When is it more feasible for buying an AP vs MYWT?

When is it financially more feasible to buy an annual pass vs a MYWT? I am looking at possibly having to buy at least a 7 day park hopper with no exp. for me and my dh.

I know the AP has some benefits to it as well, like discounts on food and hotel..

We are going this yr, and next yr..

It would be more feasible if you are planning both trips within 365 days of each other, where you can use the AP for it. If you are staying onsite and plan to use the AP for room discount. If you plan to purchase the DDE card to get 20% of dining. If you plan to hop. Parking at parks is free with AP, but also it's free if you stay onsite.

We went to Disney last year in early December, saw the MVMCP, bought the DDE card (with AP discount) and are returning this year Nov 4-12. probably got about 16 days worth from that pass...not a bad daily rate....plus all the other AP perks. Then you combine that with our Vacation Club stay at BCV's...magic!
