I am trying to plan the most wonderful vacation for our family. We have had many set backs due to an illness/transplant with my husband so this trip has been in the works for years. The kids are now 13, 12 & 8 and we are finally going to make it happen.
Our reservations are at Port Orleans Riverside Sep.20th - 29th.
Everytime I think we have everything planned I read some more wonderful reviews about something else and think what do I do, lol. But don't get me wrong I do understand I can't possibly do everything wd has to offer in one week.
Our plans so far are
Sat the 20th ~ arrival/cs meal/just checking out the resort, maybe a swim at the most.
Sun ~ MK, Whispering Canyon
Mon ~ AK, Boma
Tues ~ Epcot, Chef de France
Wed ~ Water Park, Wolfgang Puck
Thurs ~ DHS, Mama Melrose
Fri ~ Character Breakfast Lilo & Stitch & possibly back to MK
Sat ~ Boatwrights Breakfast & Kona Cafe ~ a repeat of something

So with not being to Disney in about 26 yrs, lol...do I just leave this alone as it's already a jam packed week. Or do I add tickets on the 26th to MNSSHP?
Also is the bibbity bobbity boutique a must for the girls? And anything else that i'm missing that you really think will help make this a magical trip for our family? I'm thinking maybe we should have booked Coral Reef...but like I said when do you stop. I already added a day to our reservations, adding another day doesn't really work with our drive.
Thanks for any help!

First off...How wonderful that you are finally making your *DREAM* trip come true! :wizard:

I think we ALL overplan these trips! We are taking our 6 and 8 year old grandsons for their first visit in 46 days from now...but who's counting? :)

I have been a woman OBSESSED with planning and details and what we MUST see and what we can't MISS...to the point of being ridiculous! LOL

It sounds like to me...you have the perfect itinerary planned...and my guess is...your kids ...like my grandkids....are going to be so overwhelmed and excited that they won't miss any *details* that we think we may have missed.

Have a FABULOUS trip!! :dance3:

I think your trip sounds great. Perfect for a first trip. I don't think I would worry too much about missing BBB with the girls. It is a first trip and there is so much to see and do.

I do have one comment - I really liked Chef de France, but my kids (who were 12 & 13) at the time, were not crazy about it. I think they thought it was a bit too stuffy. They may have also been tired of eating since it was the last meal of a 7 day dining plan.

There's so many great places to eat and so many fun things to do, you will soon want to plan a second trip.
Have a great time!:wizard:

Don't worry~the magic will come to you!
We did free dining last year and again this year in Aug! From
last years experience-and we absolutely love the Free dining~
We spent alot of time eating!! Wolfgang Puck's was to die for!!!
And I wanted to add that if you have the night of repeating
something and wind up at hollywood studios~~may I suggest
Prime Time Cafe! I never in my life laughed so hard. Uncle Tim
(our Server) made my boyfriend stand in the corner, made
him sing I'm a little tea pot with some girl who didn't eat her
veggies! Definitely a great time for kids and parents- I was
still laughing and smiling hours later.
I have never gone to Mickey's not so scary~however~if it
was going on while I was there-I would think that's a must!!
Have a magical trip!

I would say addon the MNSSHP, If I would have changed my vacation by 1 day last year we could have gone some friends and family did stay the extra night and even though it rained almost the whole time on them they still had a great time. I regret not going and your kids are older so they should be able to hang in there. But if time doesn't allow that is a good reason to start planning another trip:woohoo:
