Hi everyone!

Going to DL on Tuesday Sept. 6th. I've been checking various websites that say Indiana Jones is closed for the 6th and 7th. It's not available as a choice on our RideMax either.

I called today and spoke to a live Cast Member and she said there was nothing on her end that says Indy is closed on those days.

We are thinking a DL employee should be right above the rest, but I just wanted to see if anyone on here could give me some more insight. It is my husband's favorite ride, and we only live 2 hours away, so we could easily move the date to a day when it is open. But who would want to do that?!

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Just checked MousePlanet and they don't mention any closing for Indy. What web sites were you checking?:confused3

By the way, welcome to the DIS.

Typically you'd be wrong. Calling a Disney CM on the phone in no way guarantees they are even in the state of California, let alone that they have up-to-date information on Disneyland. Time and time again we read on here about CM's giving guests incorrect information, and often if you call three different CM's, you'll hear three different things.

In this case, however, the CM you spoke to is correct I think. Where are you reading about Indy being closed the 6th and 7th? It is not listed on Disneyland.com, and seeing as how it's the day after tomorrow, they would know by now to post that as a ride closure. It's also not listed on MousePlanet, which is really good about posting closures in advance.

I'm not sure where these sites get their information, but it is usually pretty accurate as far as I can tell.

I've read reports of people hearing about a ride being down before it was posted on the Disneyland calender and calling to confirm. When they call about it, they are told by a CM that the ride is not scheduled to go down, but when the calender goes up, that ride was indeed scheduled to be closed.

The most recent example is the summer closing of the Matterhorn.

Edit: I think I remember hearing about Indy going down from one of Hydroguy's Al Lutz updates.

I can't post direct links due to lack of posts, but the two most recent ones I browsed were called themouseyourway and magicalkingdom

What tipped us off to google it in the first place, was that we could not choose Indy as a ride choice on RideMax. I've always heard great reviews from friends about how RideMax is pretty accurate on everything to do with Disney, so it didn't make sense of why it wasn't showing up.

Hmm, I couldn't find the second thing you posted, but I did find the first site. It does list Indy as being down Sept. 6 & 7 but that is the only site I can find that lists it currently. Again, the official Disneyland.com schedule does not list it as a refurb (but does list other rides that will be closed).

ETA: Thanks for posting that link, Scribble Kitty. I had been looking for that thread to also post. It does say it there but that was two months ago. I do agree that if it was closed Tuesday, DL would have included it on the schedule.

Al Lutz's site has it down the 6th and 7th, but I haven't seen it anywhere else. I would guess that everyone else is right.

Thanks guys for the quick replies! And thanks for mentioning the MousePlanet site. I found the page where the 6th and 7th were posted, BUT the most recent one DOES NOT have Indiana Jones on it! Yay!

One downside is that weekly update was for the 29th - 4th. So I will be anxiously awaiting the new update that is *hopefully* posted tomorrow. But it seems like it's a go for our family trip on Tuesday!!!

Thanks again for all this insight! It really did put some worries at ease! I will post on here too if I get any new information, just in case anyone is curious about Indy being open/closed.

:yay:

ETA : LOL Just saw the last post.. I think my DH is just going to have to sacrifice... too many emotions for one ride !! ...

Disney's Travel Agent site says this:
Now - Sept. 7, 2011: The Indiana Jones Adventure will be closed for refurbishment.

Well that's certainly not true since "now" Indy is very much open and has a wait of 40 minutes.

Looks like it's a crap shoot then! I still would trust DL's official calendar but there does seem to be a circulating rumor so who knows.

Do you have an app. for the wait times? We thought about getting one right before we go. Thanks for your help, too!

Yup! Mousewait. :) I find it pretty true to the actual time. When I'm at the parks I'll pull out my phone and confirm a wait time if I'm passing by and they usually match up. If not I'll update it so that it does.
