When is better? Feb21-26 or Feb25-Mar1?

Hello!

I'm from Manila, Philippines and will be visiting WDW on either of those dates. The last was during my honeymoon in Oct 2003 but my mom and sister will join me and my wife this time (their last visit was during 1989).

I like to make this vacation as enjoyable as possible especially for my family but I'm free only on those two schedules. The reason is because I'll be coming from a trade expo in Indianapolis from Feb.19-21. We are planning to go to Las Vegas and Orlando but not sure where to go first.

I understand that Feb.21 is a US school holiday so I'm thinking, if we go on Feb.21-26, it will be a weekday but there might be big crowds from the holiday. But if we go from Feb.25-Mar1, it'll be a weekend and it'll be crowded anyways.

What do you think guys? Hope to get good suggestions as it takes years for us to visit such a faraway place like Orlando (about 24hrs travelling from Manila) and I'm not sure when we will get another chance.

Feb 21 is President's Day in the US, so our children are off school Friday, Monday, and Tuesday (at least, they are in my state). You are correct that the parks are likely to be more crowded at that time. I would guess they will be slightly less crowded over the non-holiday weekend.

Either way, you will not see maximum crowds as you would see over Easter, Christmas, and New Year. You should still have a wonderful trip, regardless of which week you visit.

I would go for the Feb 25 - March 1. We went this time two years ago and were very pleased. Although we had a bit of rain is was one of our best trips ever. Low crowds, mild temps - we will never go again over a holiday weekend. Have fun!

Looks like my final iterinary will be:

Feb.18-21 - Indianapolis for the Bike dealer expo

Feb.21-26 - rendevous with my wife, mom, and sister in WDW. Last time I went there in 2003, I stayed in Holiday Inn Express in International Drive and I would like to try staying in one of the Disney value resorts for a change. Do you think its more worth than staying in I-drive?

Feb.26 up - move on to Las Vegas, then Hongkong, before finally arriving in Manila to end my 2 week business/vacation trip...

Afew states are off the entire week for Presidents week. It's also called winter conservation week.
Enjoy your stay no matter what!

northeast schools (at least) have the whole week off in Feb 2/21-25 and MANY people travel to the south for this break...I would expect the whole week to be busier

touringplans.com give the 19th, 20th, and 21st the busiest rating of the week at 7 and then it declines during the week to 4's...so if you are there the 21st expect a very crowded visit with it getting better as the week goes on

Ahh...I'm planning to get the 4-day park hopper and will go around the 4 theme parks from Feb.22-25.

So I guess I can expect that it'll be less crowded than the Feb.18-21 weekend?

I sure hope so!
