When is a better time to go?

We will be going with my parents. Mom is a teacher and can't get off school, so we have to go during her holidays.

Which would be better? April 13-17?

Or sometime (anytime) between June 23 and August 20th?

Well both are during higher crowd times. One being summer, the other spring break.

I think you actually have a better chance at lower crowds in late June.

April 13th is just a week too early....it is still quite busy and the week right after easter! I agree...I would do end of june. If it is crowded at least it wont be as hot as it would be later in the summer.

Thanks, I'll try to talk mom into going right after school gets out.

Or maybe I can talk the other grandparents into going.... (They're retired.) It is too spendy for us to go alone because of all of our kids, but if we can put a couple in someone else's motel room it becomes affordable. My mom wants to take just a few kids. If we can convince the other grandparents to go with us some other time it would be no big deal to let the girls go off to Disneyland with grandma. It is just that we have a bunch of kids and if only 2 go, the other older 2 will be upset and hold grudges for life from missing out on such an opportunity. Besides, dh and I would like to go too. I just don't know about planning something 9 months in advance. I could be 8 months pg by then!

There are some nice motels right across the street from DL or a bit farther down that have suites that accommodate quite a few people and are reasonably priced too. Most of them also include breakfast of some sort (some better than others). That might be a consideration as well to keep in mind......

Do you know of any that accommodate 7? The youngest is a baby who sleeps in a portable crib, but motels and hotels seem to not care the size of the person- just the number of them.
