When in September?

I don't do too well in heat & hear sept is hot. We are estimating our child's adoption in sept sometime. With sibs recent adoption we went to dlr right after so we'd like to try to plan something similar since we got AP's. Thoughts?

The end of August through the first week of October are typically our hottest months. If you do decide to go in September you'll have to deal with the heat and humidity. If you'd like to go when the weather is better I'd recommend 3rd week of October or later.

Just a warning that this past year it was hot right up to Thanksgiving. So be prepared that you might not get a weather respite until late November. If you want to see any of the HalloweenTime decorations, later September would be better. If the Halloween parties start in late September, you might want to attend one.

I did a lot of research on going in Sept for 2016 and it's looking like the week of the 11th through the 17th will be the slowest but will have the fewest closuires. Weather during that time has always been nice for us as well.

I don't think you can plan "when" in September for weather? That is like asking when in January will it be the coldest. It could be stinking hot for every single day in September - we have researched this as well as we are from a cooler climate - and that is pretty much the hottest month they get. I'd prepare for it to be very hot - like over 100 hot - if you plan to go then.

We went last September, 11th-14th and it was 100 degrees every day. It was miserable. I won't go in September every again.

Halloween stuff does tend to up around this time - not sure if the parties will start this early. If I recall correctly, the 17th/18th last year was Dapper Weekend and it was super busy. (It's my birthday weekend so I remember being mad that I almost missed by birthday dinner because of the dapper people filling up the park to closure).



To the OP, I'd seriously go the third week of October. September is hot and it's so much better the closer you get to Halloween in both terms of entertainment and weather.

October has some very big events (e.g Gay Days, UEA, CHOC Walk, etc.), so the OP should be mindful of that if planning a trip then. Last year, the weather all through Oct. ranged from hot to brutal. We did MHP when the temps were in the 80's F at 10pm. It would be great if the weather this fall is cooler. Fall Dapper Day got moved to later in the fall just because of how hot September can be.

I'm from Arizona so September is perfect for us! But I could see it being too hot if you are not used 100+ everyday

Avg. highs for Sept. in Anaheim is 87 so while exceptions and temps into the low 100's are possible it isn't common and I wouldn't rule out the month just because it experienced those temps at some point in history. We've been to the parks many times during that time of the year and it wasn't that hot.

When it gets 80 in Anaheim I don't enjoy myself that much. We're already planning on November so we've scrapped the idea of another trip.
