When in October?

When in October is the best time. We are looking for predictable weather and the slowest time of the month. We'd also like to be there for Mickey's Halloween Treat.

Also what rides can we expect to be closed?

There are no scheduled ride closures as of yet but keep an ear out for them.

We went in 2003 near the end of October(I think it was the week before Halloween) crowds were great, but I don't think Mickey's Halloween Treat was even going then.... so I don't know when that starts.
But as for crowds you can never be certain they are going to be light...... but by trends you can get a good feel for when you should plan to go.

We were there in mid october. It was really busy. A lot of schools have fall breaks in October and it makes for heavier crowds.

If I were you I would plan on the last week of September if you could. I think the crowds would be lighter. This year MHT started September 21 so it should be around again the last week of September.

I think IASW will be closed next October. I believe it is scheduled to reopen November, 2008.

I remember reading that IASW will be down until November for ride/boat refurb.

We went the second week of October this year. It was super busy, one of the days was so crowded it was miserable for us. Five years ago we went the 3rd week and it was a little better. But I think maybe it's gotten worse over the years.

IASW is usually closed towards the end of the month for the holiday overlay. But for most of this whole year looks like it will be closed anyway!

We went the fourth week in October this year. The crowds weren't bad. I've been there when it was busy and the Thursday and Fri. of that last week wasn't bad. Weekends are going to be busy no matter when you go in Oct. Have fun planning.

dose any one have pics or trip report from halloween party. (I heardfrom a cast member this year melifcent was out in DCA diering a golden show or something and she said she belived shed be back)one huge reson for wanting to go

We were there for the first week of October in 2004 and it was not dreadfully crowded.
