When in August to visit...

We typically go to WDW the last week in August, although it is hot, we love that crowds are so low. We are thinking about bumping our trip a week earlier next year, so the third week in August. For those who have been during both weeks, are we going to see a big difference crowd wise? Touring Plans has crowd levels at a 5 for week three and at a 3 for week four. I don't put too much stock in their predictions anymore though, I'd rather hear from those who have experience. Help!

I don't think the difference in crowds will be very noticeable. The crowds will pick up when FWF begins, which is also at the end of August.

We went 8/20 through 8/25. Unless you are going to the Halloween party, you should be fine.

We’ve been going to DW during the last two weeks of August every year since 2010. This is the first year crowd levels seemed about the same to us both weeks.

Maybe MNSSHP and F&W made a difference. The weather can skew things as well. Or maybe we just happened to hit the less crowded/most recommended parks during the third week and the more crowded/least recommended parks during the fourth week.
