Hi. We are going to disney soon (march 26-31) and are planning on going first thing in the AM with our 2 and 4 year old in order to avoid crowds. I noticed that the Majic Kingdom has Extra Majic Hour EVERY morning that we are there. (it normally opens at 8 but for resort guest it's 7AM) What time should we arrive at the parking lot in this situation? Thanks

If you're planning on driving to the Magic Kingdom, I would be at the parking lot no later than 6:00.

If I'm reading the dates correctly, you'll be there over Easter weekend.

Everything I've read suggests being at the gates at least one half hour before scheduled opening time. You'll want to allow for about 15-30 minutes to get from your car to the Magic Kingdom turnstiles.

If you mean what time should you catch a bus from your resort parking lot, I'd be waiting no later than 6:15.

Thanks for your quick response. I don't think I was clear enough we are not staying at a resort. Anyone have more input? Thanks again.

because most park guests take the disney bus transportation to the themeparks, the parking lot doesnt get crowded until the orlando tourists head in. like yourself a majority of orlando guests will be wanting to get in at 8am to enjoy the most of their day, so i would arrive early by it least 7am to go through the line for parking access, to get parked, catch the tram/ttc bus/ ferry to magic kingdom.

fyi - i would definetly try to do the themeparks during the week to avoid the weekend & easter crowds like snackystacky suggested.
