I had someone ask me where I'd be in 10 years.....my husband said "we'll be in disney of course!" (the kids will be off for college, ha ha)

Say you retired and got a part time job in the World....what would you like to do?

I think either TOT or working with the grounds love to garden. DW thinks i spend to much time in the yard now.

My DH and I want to work at Epcot and take Bud and Jeanne's places, (when they retire, of course,) as ambassadors. They are our heroes!:thumbsup2

I think playing a character would be fun, especially one of the 'main five' because they get so much attention from everybody, and it would be fun to watch everybody's reactions. Especially kids.

I saw a CM in the Studios a couple years ago, just going around the "lake" with a broom and dustpan. This was in the early evening and I talked with her for a moment while I had my nasty smoke and waiting for family to finish in Prime Time. She told me that she only works 4 hours a day, (which for her was always early evenings), 5 days a week. She was a lovely woman and she told me that she and her husband had moved down when he retired. He worked in one of the shops the same hours that she did. Now that to me, would be the perfect job. I would be in my favorite place doing something that allowed me to talk with people and get paid for it!!!!!

I would like to either work at the Art of Disney Gallery in Epcot,
or be Mrs. Mayor on Main St. at Magic Kingdom!!!!!

I would like to work with the horses. Either driving down main street or training them behind the scenes.

I would like to be a CM at Haunted Mansion! Or a Streetmosphere actor at the Studios....or a Disney Wedding Planner...or a keys to the kingdom tour leader...anything besides food service or mousekeeping really! :)

I am with Sunny Stace - anything but mousekeeping or food service. I'd work in a gift shop, or at one of the hotels as a desk servce CM.

Really, in my mind, any job at Disney would be fabulous! :lovestruc

I wouldn't mind working somewhere indoors at Disney after I retire.

This is what I always say. I would be Fairy Godmother or Ursala, someone who is a plump female. or plump character not necessarily a female.

I want to be a wedding coordinator for WDW. Well I would love that in a few years, not when I retire!

A few years ago when i was lucky enough to do the disney college program i met a wonderful older gentleman who was in his 80s. He went by Smiley and called everyone of his fellow cast members his 'grandchildren.' I never met a happier man in my life. He still golfed several times a week and enjoyed spending time with his family, but would not give up his once a week shift with his 'other family.' That is what I hope I can do. While I plan to work for Disney forever after I graduate, I hope I can continue to do it long into my life.

I would love to work at DVC or at one of the resorts in Guest Services. Saying "Welcome Home" and helping guide Guests when they start their vacations would be wonderful!! :)

I would love that job as well.

I think that they should start a new position just for me. "Official Sticker Hander Outer" I just want to walk around all day and give out stickers and talk to the kid :)

I wouldn't mind being one of the CM's who walks around the entrances into ToT or HM trying to scare people. That's right up my alley!

although- knowing my luck I'd end up giving some poor sap a heart attack.:scared1:

I've toyed with the idea of working part-time at WDW or DLR after retiring (next year :yay: ). My concern is that they'd lose their magic for me. Some years ago, I took Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour and even though tour guests were forewarned, it was a bit of a downer to see the Magic Kingdom as a place of employment where people go to work.:coffee:

Gee - I've had that same concern about when I return to the workforce after my DD4 is in school full time - I have been kicking around being a Disney travel agent :confused3

Anyway, if I could have any job at WDW, I would probably be either the attendant on the boat from WL to MK, a Photopass photographer, or the Fairy Godmother!
