Stare at the castle through my tear filled eyes and think how lucky I am to be there!!

(what do you do??)

Before going through the gates, we stop by our brick and leave all our negative feelings outside. Once in, send a silent thank you to Walt and proceed through the left tunnel.

I walk in through the right entrance and go straight to Peter Pan and then enjoy the rest of my stay and never want to leave.

Become a child again!

Watch for me Dec 13--I'll be the one jumping up and down in my pink Minnie Mouse ears hollering "We're at Disneyland! We're at Disneyland!" :Pinkbounc My family will be the ones looking around as if to say, "Who brought the nutcase?!" :confused3

Seriously, give me some good ideas here. How do YOU start your day at DL? I mean, I eventually will have to stop with the bouncing and hollering. . . :rolleyes1

Say "I'm home." What I do after that depends on a lot of factors--time of day being the biggest. If it's first thing in the morning--go grab a Space Mountain FP (and if the stand-by line isn't too long yet, ride it). Later in the day, it's go to Frontierland and either catch the Billys or Laughing Stock if it's anywhere around the time for a show.

We stop by our brick. We dust it off, and my sisters brick next to us, and clean it as best we can. We make jokes about starting a group of people to keep each other's bricks clean, like the stars do on the Walk of Fame.

It is absolutely a catharsis going through the tunnel. At the other side of the tunnel, I am a whole different person. I am the person I like the best!

Then I run, don't walk, to the bakery to get my chocolate croissant. The rest is gravy... :earboy2:

I think about my Mom and Dad. They are both gone now, but they brought me to Disneyland at least once a year while I was growing up. I still feel like that little girl when I walk in even though now I'm the one taking my kids. It makes me think of them in a happy, wistful sort of way. They gave me my love of Disney.

We usually first stop at New Century Timepieces and chat with whichever artist is working in the window that day. If it's Eric Scales, I show him the custom watch he made for me, so he "remembers" who I am.

I usually go under the right tunnel, board the train, and get off at New Orleans Square. We usually ride Splash Mountain first.

We just came home from DisneyLand on sat, Each day when we walked through thoughs gates, i thanked God for creating some one like Walt, who had such a dream and imagination to create a place so awesome. To allow us to share a dream where all who enters can allow the childs dream in each of us come out. Ithen look at my two sons faces as they are full of excitement and beaming with smiles. My wife and i smile at each other and are filled with excitement ourselves.
Once we get past the gates and into main street, i pause and allow myself to tell my family that i love them and I love this place. We start off with the all time classic.........Pirates of the Carribean, then we work our way to Indiana Jones, Haunted mansion, Splash mountain and go from there. we stop in the shops and chat with the cast members along the way.
Heres's a tip fopr those who are going down anytime soon check out the raindeer round up your kids will love this  pirate:

As a kid we were always there 30 minutes early (yes, my dad is a Disneyland nut, though now he prefers to pay hundreds of dollars to sit on a bench and watch people :) ) As we enter, I always like to read the plaque (sp?) above the arches (usually we enter on the left). Then I try to soak in Main Street (my favorite place after New Orleans Square), calm the happy butterflies in my stomach and then make a mad dash for either Splash or Space Mountain. :)

We (the group of families who go together regularly) all hold hands and skip into the park! People look at us like we are all crazy but we are so happy to be there! :grouphug:

We're going back in one week, and my plan for the very first day (night) is to head onto Main Street with the kids and my mom and hop onto the Train and head for New Orleans Square. POTC here we come! :-) I want to ride it at night and see what all the fuss is about. ;-) pirate: Then we'll head back to the Hub through Fantasyland and stake a spot for the fireworks and snow! :wizard: We're going for five days and I plan on doing EVERYTHING!!! :rotfl: :earboy2:

A few years ago, I made the "rule" that when at Disneyland time stand stills and that we will not rush around. So I guess I leave my got get it done at the gate.

We go through the right gate and walk down Main St, through the castle right to Peter Pan, then go on as many rides in Fantasyland as we can.

I pinch myself...everytime...am I really here? I'm fifty this year; first time I went to Disneyland I was 13. I remember it well. I think the changes are good ones. I do, however miss the submarine and the people movers.
I was at DL 1 1/2 weeks ago...going again this Sun-Mon-Tue-Wed with another set of grandkids. I love it. I love everything about DL and CA. Last trip we saw CRUSH. What a hoot! Tomorrow is turkey day and I'm having family here. As usual, I have a bad headache just thinking about it...but then I stop to think about SUNDAY!

We walk down Main Street enjoying the sights and the smells. Take a moment to enjoy the Castle and then head for Dumbo - it's always our first ride (although my 15 year old son is starting to rebel against this tradition :goodvibes )
