We have 2 Alamo cars held with 2 different discounts for our upcoming trip. One is for Annual Passholders and the other is for Costco members. When does Alamo ask for proof- upon pickup or dropoff, and how am I allowed to present? In the parks, we usually just show our tickets in the app for the AP discount, and I just rejoined Costco, so I can open the website for that. But, if we need to have physical documentation what can I print to have on hand as we only have it on the app for APs and haven't yet picked up the card for Costco. Want to be sure I have it accessible when necessary. And yes, I am neurotic 🤪

If Alamo asks for proof, which is very rare, they should take your status in MDE as a passholder and you should be able to get a digital card in the Costco app. If you want hardcopies, I would print off a screenshot that shows your name and that lists you as a passholder. Go pick up your Costco card, and release one of the cars if you're not going to use it. There is no use tying up multiple vehicles and raising prices for everyone else.

I just print out the Costco reservation to show. For Alamo, I do online check-in and skip the counter. I print out the Alamo reservation and show it when I pick out the car and upon exiting. You can also show the email on your phone, but I prefer handing them the printout.

For Alamo/Costco, I have only been asked for my Costco membership card twice, both time at TPA, and both times by the same gate agent. Never been asked at MCO or at the Dolphin desk at WDW, for 15 or 20 rentals at least.

Wouldn’t be a problem anyway, since DW has her card in her purse (mine is back home). The TPA experience was interesting, since the agent was not going to accept the card in DW’s name, since the reservation was in my name. We had to get out of line and I had to talk with a supervisor. The supervisor quickly remedied the situation with the gate agent, and insisted on giving us a a free tank of gas, so we didn’t need to refill when we dropped off the car. When I was checking out at TPA the next time, same agent had no problem with accepting DW’s card, but still wanted to see it. I doubt that she remembered me, maybe just relaxing her expectations after the instructions she received from the supervisor the prior time.

Doesn't Costco make the cards at the store? I can't remember for sure, it has been decades.
