We are going in Aug. and I have a reservation for 635 and I really want to get one for earlier (5ish). I've been checking for the particular restaurant over and over but the only thing available is 6:40.
Is there any time of day they release openings? Do you check once a day, more, less?
I'm keeping the 6:35 just in case but I really hope with dilligence I can move it up a little!

You can try checking more often around the 45 day mark as people often cancel their trip when payment is due.

I check at least daily via website, I also plan to call the day before and day of if I cannot get what I need done. If push comes to shove, you can always stop at the restaurant early and ask if earlier seating would be possible. :confused3

although the tip about the 45 day mark is great!

good luck! :thumbsup2

Good point about the 45 day mark. Its Akershus so I am hoping because you need a CC maybe my odds will be better:confused3

Be persistent and check as often as you can. You should be able to snag an earlier ressie this way.

Last year, about 2-3 months before our trip, I suddenly wanted an Akershus breakfast for our daughter. It took a month or two, but I managed to get one. I pretty much kept the Disney dining reservation website on my computer most of the day to keep checking.

Yes, much better. People will cancel because otherwise they'll be charged a no show fee per person if they don't show up.

Openings show up whenever someone cancels. Also, sometimes Disney will add more availability (additional hours and staff). You just have to be checking online at the right moment so I agree with everyone who recommended checking online regularly.

Yep, that is how I was able to get the time I wanted for 50's PTC. I wanted a time around 5:30pm....for a week and half I kept getting times of 3:45pm or 4:00pm then finally one morning I decided to try the online dining again and a 5:35pm ADR popped up. You can bet I instantly grabbed that puppy :goodvibes
I am a firm believer of being persistent when it comes to Disney dining ;)
