When does your countdown begin?

Hiya Everyone

Just been doing some work around the house and had a thought about everyones Tickers and when do you get "Really Excited". For example, when its less than a month away from flying, I usually try and read all the Information possible and reviews, trip reports, pictures etc, although I dont see myself doing this as much when my Ticker is still high

So, when does your final countdown begin?

There are a few landmarks I like to celebrate like going to double digits and then single digits. The 180 day mark is always a good one as this is usually my first contact with a WDW CM and I get to book my ADRs, I love that day The next time I get excited is when I pay off the holiday, about 3 months before, then I'm really going. Finally is the 2 week countdown when i get all my paperwork together and start getting the cases down. Yep the last 2 weeks I am thoroughly annoying to be around

I am getting to the very annoying stage right now and dreamt of WDW last night, will start a wee bit of packing at the weekend then its a slloooow count til the last day.

I'm usually super excited when I book the flights/accommodation/car hire etc. That carries along whilst I plan where we are going to eat. Get excited again when I make the ADRS. Then I settle down until double digits. Once it is under 20 days I am on the ceiling on a semi-permanent basis.

The arrival of the tickets turns all the talking and planning into reality. That's when the hype starts for real, particularly with DDs.

I'm out there in a little over 2 weeks and I'm still not excited! I just can't get it into my brain that we're actually going!

I've just been permanently excited for 6 months ever since I booked it!

I am very excited at the moment as I have only just booked and got free dining. I keep thinking "This time next year I will be at wdw". Hopefully I will claim down soon.

I am extremely excited at the moment, don't know why as it's 3 months away yet! I am hyper when I first book, then calm down a bit, then start up again once we get under the 1 month mark usually. Just started a bit earlier this year! Think it's cos it's our first time onsite

Does anyone have nightmares in the few weeks before they go? I start dreaming that we get there and its all run down and horrible!!

I have nightmares every year Jen, they normally start about six weeks before, I have had a few already this year. Every year I dream that the day before Ian tells me he can't come with me and I end up there on my own, I also dream that the hotel is awful, that we end up at the wrong hotel etc etc .... I think my mind just goes into overdrive !!

Well i'm excited now and i've got about 8 weeks to go i want to pack get everything ready but i think this might be a little early for this, i can't wait.
