I woke up today with a mildly scratchy throat and have been sneezing a bit all day. If this turns into a real cold, this will be my 4th cold since October 5th. I was at my doctor a few weeks ago for an unrelated checkup and mentioned the 3 colds in 9 weeks and he blew it off as "you live/work downtown and are near a lot of germs." I don't buy it, as I've lived/worked in the same place for 5 years without this, plus I walk to work, so no public transportation.
I don't want to go to my doctor for a 'cold', but I am a bit worried. When does too many colds become an underlying issue? Is there anyway this is an underlying issue? I am not looking for any medical advice, just opinions. Thanks.
