When does this WPASADI stuff end??

I am already tired of having to scroll past all the WPASADI posts...when does this thing end?????
And how come its not on the Games board instead of here???

I don't really know what it's all about, but from reading one post it seems that only selected people were included and the rest shut out, so I don't really think it's bringing everyone together. I agree, it belongs on the games board.

Well...it just started and the teams are just really getting "together", so I'm sure it's kinda worse now, but will get better.

As I understand it, there will be a sub-board somewhere for the teams to get together and there won't be as much stuff going on here on the CB.

My guess is it isn't on the games board because it isn't a thread game (last one to post, etc.) per se...

WPASADI is a DISboards-sponsored contest. You'll probably be seeing a few WPASADI related threads on several different forums while the contest is in progress.

The game is restricted to 18-and-over US residents because of the legal requirements associated with the prizes to be awarded this time.

If the game is for the entire DIS community, then the Game Board is an appropriate place for it since the Game Board is part of the Community Board. It would still be part of the community and Community Board, just in a place where any one interested in games can find them, like the rest of the games.

this just occurred to me...it's not on the games board because it is a DIS sponsored contest, with REAL prizes from DIS sponsors (Swan and Dolphin, etc.)...and they have "paid" for exposure that they wouldn't get on the games board.

No one was "excluded" per se. From what I've read, nearly 10X the number of people they expected applied for slots on teams and so a lottery was held for those slots. We all had an equal chance at making the first cut when we applied. All but 1 of us will eventually be eliminated. If everyone had been put through, the game would drag on for months.

Once there is a specific place for teams to get together you'll see much less of this. I recall this same thing happening with the other WPASADIs too. Just give it time.

It shouldn't be relegated to the games board, as it is a DISboard wide contest. There are players from all of the boards participating. The 'clutter' on the CB should subside shortly, as the game gets underway.


It's been in the process for about a month. There was an application that everyone (over 18 and a US resident) was able to apply for a spot on a team. This is a contest with major prizes There are prizes for audience members too, as I understand it.

Now that the teams are picked and you guys do whatever it is you do, it's not an open contest where people can enter all the time now or is it? Isn't this a closed contest at this point and those that were chosen to enter the contest are those that will win the prizes? I really have no idea.

Everyone on the DIS can sign up to participate as an audience member, which I'm sure is part of the reason this game will be spread out among all the boards. Audience members are also eligible for prizes, so I'm sure alot of people will be participating.
