When does the Million Dreams event end?

We are thinking about going in early December and wondered how long the Year of a Million Dreams will go on? Also, when and how will the winners of the nights in the castle be announced?

The promotion goes through the end of 2007.

The castle is going to be added into the prizes in January when it is completed (it is currently still under construction). It will be just like any other prize that is being given out. It will be given out during the daytime for THAT night at the castle. It can be won at any of the four parks, the water parks or Downtown Disney, it is not restricted to just MK guests, anyone can win it anywhere. It will be presented just like any of the other prizes, the Dream Squad Cast will get a print out that says issue this prize at this time at this location. Does that make sense?

As mentioned the sweepstakes will be ending in December of 2007!

Is everyone eligible for the free night? Meaning if you are not there per say, but sent in your information via mail are you still eligible?

I believe you have to be in the park to win the free night at the castle. Other prizes can be awarded to the mail in entries ... but the night has to be accepted and used THAT night. I would think you may have to even be in MK to win that prize but I am not sure. I do remember reading it would not be one of the mail in requests.

You are correct in that it is not a prize that can be won from the mail in. The Castle stay has to be used the same night that it is won.

It CAN however be won anywhere on property, you do not have to be at MK to win it. It could be given out at any of the 4 theme parks, the water parks or Downtown Disney.

It would be SO special to have a night's stay inside the castle. I'm curious about it.
What is the Castle room actually like ?
Is it large or small ? Is it more like a DVC
room with a jacuzzi bath ? Anyone know ?

Here you go, this is all the info about registering by mail:

Also, starting on September 18, 2006, eligible participants can enter without being present in a Disney Property by writing their full name, complete mailing address (including postal code), daytime telephone number (including area code), and date of birth on a 3"x5" postcard and sending it with proper postage affixed to: (i) if a legal resident of the United States, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Canada or Mexico: P.O. Box 8629, Elmhurst, IL 60126; or (ii) if a legal resident of the United Kingdom: Disney Dream Giveaway, 483 Green Lanes, London N13 4BS. Participants may enter once per day during the Giveaway Period. All mail-in entries must be mailed separately, postmarked by December 31, 2007 and received by January 14, 2008 or they will be void.


Just so you know, the mail in entries are eligible for the "souviner prizes" such as the hats, pins/lanyards and the big trips like the Cruises and the world tours, etc. They are not eligible for the same day prizes like the castle suite, MNSSHP, Party of the Senses, etc. in the event that a mail in card wins a "same day prize" an alternate prize will be given.
